Perfectly Petite Lingerie is a relative newbie to the petite-size lingerie community, just like SBBH. If you haven’t already checked it out, this exclusive offer for SBBH readers should give you a reason:
Perfectly Petite Lingerie is offering a 10% discount for SBBH readers until April 21st 2010 (Midnight GMT). Simply use the promotion code SBBH10 at the checkout to take advantage of this perfectly super deal.*
Set up by Nicola Scarrott last year, the idea for Perfectly Petite Lingerie came after a frustrating shopping trip that hammered home the limited choice of lingerie sold on the high street in AA-cup and A-cup sizes. Driving to the shops on a futile hunt for pretty styles was a waste of petrol money, Scarrott thought. Mulling this over, she came up with the idea of setting up an online store offering AA-cup, A-cup and B-cup lingerie — of the ‘luxury’ ilk, a far cry from the unsexy ‘training bra’ styles more commonly available.
Scarrott says, “Lingerie should make you feel good about yourself and buying it should be a pleasure, not hard work and disappointing.”
Research revealed that some small-busted women want cleavage enhancement, with gel bras and the like, while others are simply looking for comfortable, well-fitting designs. Scarrott explains, “Firstly, AA-cup women want something that fits well. Smaller busts are not the same shape as larger ones, so bras need to be manufactured differently. There is no top cup to speak of, so far less material is needed. AA bras don’t need to be rounded, as an AA bust does not have a lot of flesh to fill a cup. The underwire, if any, does not need to scoop so much. And the straps, generally, need to be fairly short as the petite bust sits quite still and perky.”
Armed with first-hand knowledge and research that backs it up, Scarrott seems well-placed to make a success of Perfectly Petite Lingerie. I wish her all the best.

Ooh, is that one of the new styles from Panache Atlantis? Pretty!
Lovely isn’t it? Yes, it’s the Panache Atlantis Evanna Liquid Filled Bra in Lilac and it costs £24 at Perfectly Petite. There are gorgeous little shorts to match it too with cute bows on the hips.
Gotta love those damn sexy Atlantis bras. “Warning: your bust will look big in this!”
I’m looking for pretty bra non-padded and lacy and lovely.. All AA bras come filled with liquid or heavily padded. I don’t want by bust look big.
Hi Julia,
I shall ask some of my small-bust specialist contacts to recommend styles for you & will post on this in the Reader Q’s section shortly, so watch that space.
Thanks,
Catherine
i just discovered this blog when looking for small sized bras and have been enjoying reading it. the discount offer sounds great, except i’m in australia so extra shipping costs will make it still very expensive. i am considering it, though – the only small bras available here are either training bras or very basic t-shirt bra things (i have five of the exact same bra just because i found one shop that sold them), and even these are getting harder to find. do you know if any of the brands you mention are available in australian shops?
Hi Pam,
Off the top of my head, I know of Sugarchilli (http://sugarchilli.blogspot.com/) and Fresh Pair (http://www.freshpair.com), both online shops with an Australian presence (and reasonable shipping costs — free in Australia, in the case of Sugarchilli). Let me do some more investigations and I’ll get back to you.
All the best,
Catherine
PS: I’ve been doing some research and I’ve also discovered that Figleaves (http:www.figleaves.com) ship to anywhere in the world for £5.50. I must admit I’m finding it hard to locate Australian stockists… it seems it’s even tougher in your part of the world than here in the UK. I’ll keep hunting though.
Hi Julia,
See the latest blog http://smallbustbigheart.com/2010/04/not-a-gel-bra-not-a-padded-bra-just-lacy-lovely/ for recommendations from small-bust lingerie specialists that meet your requirements. Happy shopping!
Best wishes,
Catherine
thanks for your reply catherine, i’ll look into those ones. australia seems to have nothing small, unfortunately.
Mine are 38AA and I am very happy with them. I need support and have a large collection of bras in many styles and colors.
