Exactly like Miranda says! This "diet"/approach won't work if you're a pear. I gained 50 lbs and went from an A to a barely B!

Body shape has a lot to do with this - I'm pear shaped, if I loose any weight it comes off my top half, but if I gain weight it's all on my booty and I just become a more exaggerated pear! I think it really depends where you carry your body fat - would probably only work for apple shaped ladies.

Kate: peanut butter is actually pretty good for you, but I realize that's not your point! I can certainly relate to what you're saying, as I'm not trying to gain weight at the moment either... I certainly wouldn't recommend it just to go up a cup size.

With warmer weather coming, I'm mostly looking forward to being able to run around in a teeny weeny bikini top.

Hi Kate,
I understand that putting on weight isn't always a cinch. And perhaps my reference to a "Doughnut Plan" wasn't entirely in the spirit of Amanda's post, which I'm sure is more about gaining a few pounds through a healthy diet (again, not always as easy as it sounds). Thanks for reading and sharing your views!
Best wishes,
Catherine

If only gaining weight were that easy! At 4'11.5", I have maintained a steady weight of about 92-95 pounds for about five years (through highschool, college, and into grad school), and nothing I do seems to change that! At my peak I weighed 101, but that was due to muscle from dancing every day (and you can only guess how tiny my boobs got then!). I think as long as a person is healthy then a little weight gain is not a bad thing, but focusing on gaining weight simply to have a larger bust size seems like a bad idea. To each her own, I guess, but I won't be packing on the peanut butter so I can have less trouble finding a bra that fits.
