Glee star Lea Michele was surprised to be cast in the hit TV show that has made her famous because she was told she was not pretty enough for television.  The 24 year old repeatedly got knocked back by casting couch fat cats who didn’t like her look: notably, a defined nose and petite bust are about as far from the cookie cutter starlet style that has been standard issue in LA for too long.

Lea Michelle, the “ugly” girl that casting directors rejected

Their cat-that-got-the-cream expressions must have turned sour by now — as Michele has become quite the Hollywood golden girl.  Just to make them sick to the stomach, this behind-the-scenes video taken at a shoot for Marie Claire, will leave them in no doubt about her beauty or star quality.  It  shows a confident, sexy, small-busted cover girl, enjoying the time of her life — and just a little bit of sweet revenge.

Where breast cancer is concerned, size doesn’t matter: every beautiful big boob, tiny titty, young bap, mature chest, droopy knocker and pert plumpy is under threat.

This October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is the perfect opportunity for us all to unite and find out how we can play our part in fighting this disease.  I’ve asked the small-bust lingerie specialists on my speed dial to tell me about the initiatives they’re running to support this very important cause.

Spend £1, save lives: It's a no-brainer

Little Women

This small cup specialist (which offers a lovely range of AAA cup, AA cup, A cup and B cup bras) is selling Breast Cancer Awareness pins for £1.00.  The pins are being sent out with no charge for P&P (to UK customers) and all the money from sales goes directly to Breast Cancer Care.   If you’re based in the UK and you’re shopping at Little Women anyway, why not pop a pin in your basket… you’ll get free P&P for your order*.  (*if order is placed during the month of October).

The Little Bra Company

Lucia bra, $56, The Little Bra Company: that's $5.60 for charity

This October, The Little Bra Company is donating 10% of all proceeds from its bestselling Lucia bra in peony/tangerine to the Young Survival Coalition, an international organisation dedicated to young women with breast cancer. YSC works with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women under 40 diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Little Bra Company is also participating in a breast cancer awareness event and benefit at Movement Studio LA on Sunday October 17:  An afternoon of Hoop*A*BoomBoom, Burlesque with food, drinks, breast cancer awareness information and the sale of gorgeous goodies, including  jewellery, candles and intimate apparel. The entrance fee is $20.

Kaylen bra, $50, Lula Lu

Stylish small-bust lingerie label Lula Lu is supporting the Save The Tatas Foundation during Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating 10% of the sales of the Kaylen Convertible Bra to this private, not-for-profit corporation, committed to battling cancer at every stage.

Itty Bitty Bra
