Small bust, big heart is a blog devoted to small-busted women. How the blog came about is a long story*
If you’re an AA-cup, you’ll be familiar with the question: “Why do you even need a bra?”. And the answer you’ll be itching to give is this: “Because I am a woman. Because I want to support my (tiny) curves. Because I love fashionable, sexy lingerie and I enjoy dressing up. Because I want to.” I could go on.
This blog is about giving a voice to small-busted women. Hunting down the Holy Grail: lingerie that makes the most of their shape and clothes designed to fit their frames (without flapping around their armpits like some sort of hideous wind sock).
Lingerie that says, “Can you handle me?” rather than “Am I enough?”. Clothing that says, “Bet you wish you could wear this too?” Not wishing to brag or anything, but we small-busted women have the choice to be chameleon-like and it’s about time we flaunted it.
What you’ll find on this blog is empathy with the quest of the small-busted woman to find lingerie and clothes to fit her frame. And an end to that frustrating search.
With anecdotes and advice aplenty, Small bust, big heart is a must-read for small-busted women with big hearts & open minds.
* Having kids took its toll on my boobs, downsizing a perky 32A-cup to a 32AA. Scouring the high streets for bras, I found a handful of styles, mostly with the humiliating label ‘training bra’. At 34, a life without the joy of matching lingerie sets was simply not acceptable. I was not ready to be forced into a braless existence — or, worse, an unfashionable wilderness of nude coloured T-shirt bras. After much digging, I found a few companies selling bras that fit an AA-cup frame and exude grown-up sophistication. It was a revelation I wanted to share. And so the blog was born — as an independent source of news about lingerie and clothing lines that play up the positives of a small-busted body. Look forward to interviews with designers, buyers’ guides and answers to readers’ questions. And, should any boob or body image stories catch my attention, I’ll be climbing atop my soapbox to share them with you.
