Bottom chills. You must’ve had them, wearing jeans and a short, hip-skimming coat on a Winter’s day. You just can’t go around wearing skimpy knickers when you’ve got goose bumps on the derriere, so it’s been my mission this winter to find briefs with wholesome coverage in soft, comfy, warm fabrics. And I may just have found the perfect solution (though have yet to road test) *Drumroll*

Charlotte & Co’s Foundation Silk Knickers have a generous brief-style cut (you could say “granny” but I prefer to say “classic”).  Perhaps I’ve hit an age where knickers of minute proportions suddenly seem unappealing, bringing to mind the “cheese wire” analogy. I’m not ashamed of it — I love to look good in my underwear, but who’s to say that should be at the cost of comfort?  Best of all, these knickers are made from pure silk jersey, a super smooth fabric with warmth and luxury on its side.  And, for bonus points, the fine jersey means the knickers are virtually invisible under clothes, even lightweight summer trousers and frocks. Hallelujah, say I.

Okay, so you’re thinking big pants don’t equal sexy, right? Well, think again. Team these lovely knickers with a gorgeous matching camisole and you’ve got a cosy, but downright gorgeous look on your hands. The camisole is made from the same natural silk jersey, so you stay cool when it’s hot and snug when it’s chilly. And don’t forget, a camisole (with or without a bra) is a must-have for the small-busted. Dare I say, it is a style that the little-chested wear best?

Loving your work, Charlotte & Co.

There’s a new team at Perfectly Petite Lingerie and it’s very excited about plans to revitalise its collection of small-busted lingerie with a host of new styles on order for Autumn/Winter.

To celebrate this exciting new phase, Perfectly Petite Lingerie is running an exclusive competition for SBBH readers.  The prize is this delightful new Panache Atlantis Yasmin balconnet bra and matching briefs, worth £39.50 (pictured).

The competition: Perfectly Petite Lingerie would like you to share your secrets about your lingerie shopping habits.  They would like to know what really tickles your lingerie fancy & how you prefer to shop. For instance, you might want to spill the beans on…

Whether you enjoy the experience of shopping in lingerie boutiques?

Or do you prefer to shop online, trying stuff on at home?

Is there a specific colour of lingerie you make a bee-line for — and why?

What are your favourite lingerie styles?  To boost or not to boost?

What is most important: quality, price, style, comfort?

Do you like to receive lingerie as a gift — if so, who from?

How to enter: Please email Perfectly Petite Lingerie, using the subject line SBBH Competition.  In the body of the email, you can wax lyrical about your lingerie shopping wants and needs.  To complete your entry, please provide details including your full name, email address, country of residence — as well as your bra and briefs size.  The most detailed and descriptive entries will be shortlisted and the winner will be selected at random.

Rules: Competition closes midnight 31st October 2011.  Entrants to the competition agree to be added to the Perfectly Petite Lingerie mailing list.  The winner’s name will be published in the Perfectly Petite newsletter announcing the results of the SBBH competition. No personal details apart from their name and country will be published.  Perfectly Petite Lingerie never passes on details of clients or newsletter subscribers to third parties.

Good luck!
