Little Women's So You bra, £29.25 and briefs, £14.95

Little Women is not a new discovery, but I hadn’t browsed the site in a while and, when I returned to it last month, I found lots of beautiful lingerie sets in my size. If you read my blog regularly you’ll know that one of my central quests is to find small-cup lingerie that’s grown-up, sophisticated and sexy. And, if I can find a bra that meets that tall order, then a matching pair of knickers is probably enough to make me spontaneously combust with excitement!

The lovely folks at Little Women offered me a couple of sets to try*. I chose the So You bra and the Sheer Lace bra and their matching briefs. Originally, I received the bras (beautifully packaged) in a 32AA size, which is my usual size. I was gobsmacked to find that they didn’t fit and my cup runneth over, which is quite a rare experience for me! Little Women prompty despatched the two bras to me in 32A and they fit perfectly. Non-wired and with medium padding, they gave me great shape, support and comfort. If you’re ordering, it might be a good plan to order a cup size larger than your normal size.

In all honesty, I think these bras are the closest I have come to feeling like I am wearing “lingerie” as opposed to “a bra”… since the post-baby shrinkage of my boobs. With great fit, luxurious silky and sheer fabrics, and beautiful detailing and trims, they made me look and feel quite sexy. The cut of the briefs — more true to my size — was perfect. Both comfortable and attractive, these knickers are a delight to wear, with no pinch or ride-up.

Thanks Little Women for cracking a difficult nut — providing lovely, affordable lingerie that makes small-busted women feel as sophisticated and sexy as they deserve.

*I received two sets of lingerie from Little Women. When I receive free products for reviews, this doesn’t guarantee a favourable post, just that I will try the lingerie and let my readers know my honest opinion.

New haunt, but what new AA-cup styles will be on offer?

A new AA-bra online retailer… I clicked on the link to AABras with great excitement.  When I got there, I wasn’t disappointed.  It’s a lovely girly site, nicely designed, and it immediately tempted me in.

My cursor danced over the menu and plumped for the “Pretty” section… because every small-busted woman knows that an easy-on-the-eye AA-cup bra is the lingerie Holy Grail.

Small-cup ladies, if you’ve been chasing that impossible dream, I did find styles on AABras that might do the trick.  A small collection of Lula Lu bras are stocked, only available in the US until now, including the rather lovely lace Natasha bra.

There are also some cute styles from Panache Atlantic and Itty Bitty Bra, such as the Jerry bra and the polka dot Couture bra.  But these bras, while great, are mentally filed in my “The Usual Suspects” AA-lingerie closet… They aren’t that new.

The “Pretty” section of the site also includes striking bras by Ultimo and By Caprice, available in A-cup (not AA), a selection of Boobs & Bloomers lingerie for teenage AA-cup girls, and a wide range of gel bras, which duplicate the collection stocked at MaxCleavage (owned by the same people as AABras).

I have to admit I was disappointed to find that no new treasures had been discovered.  And that the ranges available fall into the same divisions that we have come to expect from the AA-cup offering across the board:  Gel mega-boosting bras that assume we little-chested ladies aspire to have more-up-top, teenage bras and pretty-but-not-exactly-sexy bras.

What I am learning from the lovely readers of this blog is that there are a lot of small-busted women who want something very different: Lingerie that is designed for body confident, fashion-loving women (who happen to have a flat chest).  Now, a website that was dedicated to selling lingerie just for these women, that would be something.  No teen bras, no oomphalumpa bras… Just beautifully fitted, fashionable, sophisticated lingerie for the little chested.

Should I dream on….?

Maybe AAbras.com is still on the case… In the “About Us” section of the site, it says “Please bear with us whilst we find more bras and more choice for you”… If that Holy Grail is out there, let’s hope AAbras.com can find it.
